Free Planning Guide Available For Long-Term Care Awareness Month
November is Long-Term Awareness Month and a study from the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance reveals that few consumers have a plan in place for something that can quickly wipe out a lifetime of retirement savings.
To call attention to the importance of awareness and planning for the risk of needing long-term care even the U.S. Congress has urged "the people of the United States to recognize (November) as an opportunity to learn more about potential and costs...and the options available."
"Americans are living longer than ever and that makes long-term care planning vitally important for all men and women," states Robert P McDowell, of RP McDowell & Associates. "We are committed to educating more people during the month."
Financial planning experts advise that planning should take place prior to retirement. "It is best to start prior to qualifying for Medicare at age 65." explains Robert P McDowell,an area long term care professional, "You have more options and more affordable choices when you are still relatively good health."
During November, a free consumer guide to Long-Term Care Insurance Protection from the Association provides valuable information on long-term care planning options. A no-cost copy can be obtained by calling Robert P McDowell at 800-428-4509 or emailing to mcdowell@FirstOneInsurance.com
